A common Punjabi-Sikh wedding order — from the first family commitment to the reception.
Every region and family celebrates in its own way. Ceremonies may be combined, reordered, adapted, or left out—there is no single correct way to celebrate a Punjabi wedding.
Families often combine Shagun, Chunni or Mangni. Across Majha, Malwa and Doaba, the names, boliyan and wording of wedding songs—and the order or emphasis of smaller customs—can differ. These are family and village traditions, not hard regional rules, so ask both sides which customs they actually observe.
